When you have ADHD, you should beware of drama, especially if you’re a teen.
High emotions floods our brains with the good stuff and having something to obsess about in our heads feels better than being perpetually bored. And due to our executive dysfunction, drama is almost the default setting in our heads.
It’s not uncommon for ADHDers to create conflicts in their life to get that high. Drama can be very addictive. I have personal experience with it so I know how attractive it can be.
But the desire for drama can be toxic. It can really hurt us, inter-personally.
